patric lerjen and oli kuster from bern (.ch) walk with high precision on the small path where analog and electronic music meets. as professional guitarists and pianists their approach comes from the accoustic side and "diwan diwan" is their most session-orientated and digital activity-field.

patric is also engaged in projects like "manufactur" with werner hasler, "electric blanket" with helena danis, "three base hit" with fabian kuratli and in don pfäffli's tonus-music sessions.
oli plays in "pola" with marcel blatti, "züri west" and "mich gerber". with liliana ferreira he produced the highly respected cd "maozinha - aerosferas". we already know the voice of her from "simon b - morro" on rabr001.

these are just a few names and projects to illustrate the digital anchor the two virtuos musicians represent in berns finest jazz- und rock-scene.

the opener "nage" will also be released on the cccIV-compilation. "string" is the most electroid-track which develops an atmosphere reminding at the times when industrial-music set the fundament for techno. "ep" is a friendly and dubby tech-track and "maschin" returns to elektro-breaks with surprising sounds.

a package of serious electronic music full of details.

reviews:
Kein Wunsch bleibt offen.

Subject: maschin!
diwan diwan is a new kind of music for me,pendling between ambient/idm ('nage'), amazing electronic lounge stuff ('maschin', my fave), stomping solutions ('string') and some minimalism ('ep'), all joined by the same disposition for sound, which is the thing i really like here (together with maschin..)
